Recycling Romesh’s Mission Tips

Hey Saplings! TREEmendous - we are so happy you have accepted your first mission to help us save Terra from the Eco Squashers!

In this mission, you are double checking what you can recycle:

  • From your kerbside recycling at home

  • At your local recycling centre

  • Through a local Terracycle scheme which accepts hard to recycle items like crisp packets and chocolate wrappers!

Remember; to keep the recycling load pure, only pop in items you are 100% sure

Recycling and checking for this information can be confusing, so here are my top tips to help you complete this mission!

  1. Download or draw the Recycling With Romesh Mission from HERE

  2. Check if your parent/s have a leaflet showing what your council will take from your home kerbside recycling

  3. Go to www.recyclenow.com and pop in your postcode. It will come up with all sorts of materials that can be recycled at home PLUS it will also show which items you need to take to your local recycling facility

  4. Go to www.terracycle.com/en-GB/brigades and pop in your postcode to see what FREE collections they have where you can drop off harder to recycle items

  5. Write or draw these materials in the boxes in the Mission sheet so you and your family remember them

  6. Once you have filled this in, make sure everyone in your family sticks to it!

  7. Pop it on your fridge and tag the Eco Protection Squad on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to be entered in to the monthly mission and be in with a chance to win a copy of our first adventure PLUS a litterpicker!

And there you have it…once you do these steps, you have completed your first mission for the Eco Protection Squad!
